Normah Knight, known for landscape, seascape, and floral paintings,won her first art contest in 1919when she was nine years oldin Dallas, Texas. Now, past the end of the century, she has many accolades. The Smithsonian Institution Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. displayed her painting in their National Collection of Fine Arts Special Exhibit of Contemporary American Paintings.
